      Abstract
Urban arable land located near industrial area are vulnerable to heavy metal pollution. One of these heavy metals of concerned is zinc (Zn). In situ inactivation is a prospective remediation methods to be applied on heavy metal polluted-soil of arable land. This technique refers to the use of ameliorants and fertilizers to alter the chemical forms of heavy metal pollutants in the environment, thereby decreasing their chemical and biological ability to cause harm. In the preceding study, it was evaluated: (1) the effects of amelioration and fertilization at 4 (four) soil Zn enrichment series on the soil chemical properties, including the concentration of bioavailable soil Zn, and the dry matter yield of tomato, and (2) the relationships between the soil chemical properties and the tomato dry matter yield. The present study was aimed at to evaluate: (1) the effects of the same amelioration and fertilization treatment at 4 (four) Zn emiched soil series on Zn, N, P, S, K, Ca and Mg concentration in tomato shoot, (2) the relationships between Zn concentration in tomato shoot with soil chemical properties, including the total and bioavailable soil Zn, and (3) the relationships between Zn with N, P, S, K, Ca and Mg concentration in tomato shoot.
