      Abstract
The purpose ofthis research was to study the immunomodulator effects oj Torbangun leaves (Coleus amboinicus Lour) in the lymghoreticular organ system of mice (Mus musculus) histopathologically. Nine mice divided into three groups; control group, group received 5% Torbangun leaves soup and 5% dry Torbangun leaves group. The mice were given Torbangun leaves at the 14Ih day ofpregnancy until day 7 post partus. The mice then were euthanized. The spleen, lymphonode and thymus were collected as histopathological samples. Samples were processed routinely to prepare histopathology slide stained with Haematoxylin Eosin. Besides that, blood was taken from heart for blood dgerentiation cells examination and stained with Giemsa. The observation results of that the mice given 5% Torbangun leaves soup showed hyperplastic reactive lymphoid follicle of spleen, while thymus and lymphnodes although did not showed hyperplasia but in reactive condition. The mice that given 5% dry Torbangun leaves showed hyperplastic reaciive lymphoid follicle of spleen and lymphnodes, while thymus although did not showed hyperplasia but in reactive condition. Blood smear examination revealed that the conszrmption soup and d v Torbangun leaves increased leucocytes in the blood circulation. Based on the histopathology observation it suggested that the consumption of Torbangun leaves, both soup and dry leaves could induce the lymphoid organ to become reactive and release leukocytes to the peripherial blood circulation. However the consumption of dry Torbangun leaves had higher immunostimulant effect than soup.
