Keberadaan Salmonella spp. Pada Telur Ayam Dan Telur Bebek Yang Dijual Di Pasar Tradisional Di Provinsi Jawa Barat
Abstract
This study was aimed to observe the occurance of Salmonella spp. in layer and duck eggs, and gave information of wet markets sanitation and hygiene in traditional markets of West Java Province. The study consist of two parts, field questionnaires and laboratory work. Data questionnaires was obtained from 35 egg retailers in West Java. Detection of Salmonella consisted of layer eggs (n=25) and duck eggs (n=10) were taken purposively from wet markets and determineted according to the Compendium of Methods for the Microbiological Examination of Foods. The result showed that the occurance of Salmonella in layer and duck eggs were 4% and 0%, respectively.
