Induksi Pertumbuhan Mata Tunas Aksilar Aglaonema Pride Of Sumatera Secara In Vitro Melalui Penambahan Bap Dan 2,4-D
Abstract
The research aimed to study the effect of plant growth regulator (BAP and 2,4-D) on the shoot bud growth of aglaonema Pride of Sumatera using axillary bud explant in vitro. This research was conducted from February 2010 to March 2011 at Laboratory of Plant Tissue Culture, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture IPB, Bogor. Completely Randomized Block Design was used in this research. The research consisted of two factors and three replications. The first factor is 2,4-D with two concentrations are 1 and 2 mg/l. The second factor is BAP with five concentrations are 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mg/l. The result showed that the treatment of BAP, 2,4-D, and the interaction between them are not significantly affected the number and the length of buds. The treatment of 6 mg/l BAP + 1 mg/l 2,4-D gave the fastest growth of shoot bud, that was 2.17 weeks. The optimal medium for axillary bud proliferation is 10 mg/l BAP + 2 mg/l 2,4-D, gave the highest number of bud (1 bud).
