      Abstract
      Broiler merupakan jenis ras unggul hasil persilangan dari bangsa-bangsa ayam yang memiliki daya produktivitas tinggi, terutama dalam memproduksi daging ayam. Penggunaan pakan sangat erat kaitannya dengan produksi daging. Pakan komersial didalamnya merupakan campuran dari bahan nabati dan hewani. Pengurangan bahan asal hewan dapat mengurangi bau amis dan biaya produksi. Pakan nabati digunakan karena kandungan gizi yang baik dan harga yang murah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase karkas dan potongan komersial ayam broiler yang diberi pakan nabati dan komersial. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 40 ekor yang diambil secara acak masing-masing 2 ekor dari perlakuan ulangan dari pemeliharaan 200 ekor selama 35 hari dengan 4 macam perlakuan pemberian pakan, yaitu pemberian pakan komersial selama pemeliharaan (P1); pemberian pakan komersial tiga minggu pemeliharaan dan dua minggu terakhir diberi pakan komersial ditambah DSP (P2); pemberian pakan nabati selama pemeliharaan (P3) dan pemberian pakan nabati tiga minggu dan dua minggu terakhir diberi pakan nabati ditambah DSP (P4). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak lima kali dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 10 ekor. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Peubah yang diamati adalah bobot (hidup akhir, karkas, dada, paha, sayap dan punggung), persentase (karkas, dada, paha, sayap dan punggung), meat bone ratio dada dan paha. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sisdik ragam dan bila berbeda maka dilakukan uji Tukey.
       
      The use of feed is very closely related to meat production. Commercial feed is a mixture of vegetables and animal materials. Reduction of animal material origin could reduce the odor and production costs. Feed vegetable used as a good nutrient content, low fat of animal origin and low prices. This study aims to determine the percentage of carcass and commercial parting of broilers fed vegetable and commercial. This study used 40 samples from 200 broiler chickens Cobb strain reared for 35 days. Each treatment consisted of five replications and each replication consisted of 10 broiler chickens. Variables measured were the weight (final live, carcass, breast, thigh, wing and back), percentage of carcass (breast, thigh, wing and back), meat bone ratio of breast and thigh. The result showed that the final live weight of chicken fed with lower vegetable is 673,15 g /bird, while those given the commercial diet produced about 1628,80 g / bird. Differences carcass, breast, thigh, wings and back on commercial vegetable and row are 387,40 to 1256,80 g, 132,10 to 476,80 g, 119,20 to 362,20g ; from 52,90 to 131,40 g, and from 86,40 to 267,40 g respectively. While the percentage of breast, thigh, wing and back with carcass weight to vegetable feed and commercial feed in a row are 34,11-38,12%; 28,86-30,77%; 10,52-13,75% and 21,48-23,32% respectively. Percentage meat bone ratio of breast and thigh in a row is 1,90-4,32 and1,82-2,78.
