Kajian Kondisi Gua untuk Pengembangan Wisata Minat Khusus di Kawasan Karst Gudawang, Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Intensive exploitation in Karst such as mining is damaging the area. On the other hand, karst possesses essensial values for human life, including ecological, economical, social and culturals. One from of conservation effort in karst, which can give benegit to local people and karst itself is ecotourism. Ecotourism development in Karst Gudawang can be to the form of special interest. This study was conducted in Karst Gudawang, Kampung Cipinang, Village Argapura, Cigudeg district, Bogor. Regency 3 months (December 2006 to February 2007). Methods use for foward method for cave mapping, interviews and field abservations for are tourism potential. Tourism analyses criteria consist of interest, climate, accessibility, infrastructure, facility, orher tourism objects, safety, caryying capacity area, tourist regulation and clean water surrounding apply. Special interest concept development in Gudawang ae adventures and education essentialy. There are 3 classification of caves for developing special interest, very suitable, sutable and unsuitable. The very suitable caves to be developed are Si Aul Tengah, Si Parat 2 and Si Garaan. The sitable caves are Si Parat 1, Si Aul Ujung and si Cayur. Si Kembar and Si Patahunan caver are not suitable to be developed
