Pengaruh bangsa dan paritas terhadap penampilan reproduksi ternak babi di usaha peternakan babi PT. Adhi farm, Solo

Abstract

This research was held to determine the impact of breeds and parities for the pig reproduction performance. This research has been done at pig's commercial farm PT. Adhi Farm, Solo from July until August 2005. Material that used in this research are 112 Landrace's and 43 Yorkshire's swine. The variable in this research were litter - size of born alive, lactation length, litter size of weaning, litter size of weaning percentage, mortality for suckling pigs, weaning to pregnant interval, and frequency of pregnant per sow per year. Design used in this experiment was Completely Randomized Design Factorial 2 x 4. The first factor was the breeds (Landrace and Yorkshire) and the second factor was the parity (1, 2, 3, and 4). The treatment consists of eight and each treatment was different replicated (unbalance). The statistical analysis in this experiment was ANOVA with the GLM (General Linear Model) procedure and if there were significant difference (P4.05) between the measurements, therefore could continued with the Tukey multiple comparison test.
