Abstract

Priangan sheep (G) ir a prolific sheep, non seasional breeder, early maturing anu resistant to internal parasit. I-Iowevcr, Priangan sheep has low lamb survival rates and daily gain due tc a limited milk production. In order to improve the production performances, tht? Priangan sheep has been crossed with St. Croix (H) and Multon Charollais (M). Subsequently, the two breed composite sheep (MHG and HMG) that have blood proportion of 50 % Priangan (G), 25% St. Croix (H), and 25% Multon Charollais (M). The traits measured were lamb birth weight, litter size, ovulation rate, oestrus length foetus survival and conception rate.
