Analisis kelayakan fiannsial budidaya ulat sutera (studi kasus pada koperasi petani pengrajin ulat sutera sabilulungan III, Kecamatan Sukaresik, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat)

Abstract

Sericulture are planting the mulberry as silkworm feed, producing the silkworm eggs and maintaining of silkworm till to fornlating the cacoon. It like a household business that relatively easy because it have a simple technology and intensive labour. The aim of this research were analyzed the characteristic of silkwomi farmer and analyzed feasibility of sericulture. The study was carried out on March 2006 at Silkworm Farmer Cooperation Sabilvlungan I11 and it was designed as a case study. It used primary and secondary data. The analysis data were descriptive and feasibility analysis. The silkwornl Iarnler were divided to three business scale according to square of mulberry garden. The characteristic of sikworm farmer were age, education level, experienced of sericulture, earning and status of land. Feasibility analysis is formulated based on two assum?tion. Follnulating of two assumption is adjusted to the real condition at research place. First, counting the cash flow without land rent and wage of fanlily's labour. This assumption showed that the sericulture is feasibled to ran with discount rate 12%. But, in second assumption that counting cash flow with land rent and wage of fmily's labour, it showed that sericulture is unfeasibled to ran with same discount rate 12%.
