Karakteristik wol domba tercemar timbal yang disuplementasi kombinasi protein yeast, mineral organik, khitosan dan ekstrak rumput laut coklat
Abstract
Sheep is one of protein source which many people breed in tropic area, including in Indonesia. Beside as source of protein, sheep also used to 11roduce wool, especially in sub tropic countries. Sheep has better adaptation in environment, climate and feed. This study was completely done in 'outdoor laboratoly of IPT Ruluinansia Kecil Departemen IPTP, laboratory of Nutrisi Ternalc Perah Departemen INMT. and photo inicro laboratory, Departemen Biologi Falcultas MIPA Institilt l'ertanian Bogor. This field research was done in July to November 2004. This study used 24 heads local strain nlale sheep aged 8 months old. This sheep was grouped into Tor group based on body weight. Each groups was 6 head sheep.the treatlnents were six. first treatnlent was basal feed (RO), that was for~nulatedf eed based on NRC of sheep (1 989). Second treatment was colnbination of basal feed and 4.5 ppin lead acetate (RI). Third treatment was combination of R1 feed and 1 % yeast protein (R2). Fourth treatment was combination of R2 feed and organic ~nineral Zn 40 ppm. CulO ppm, Cr 2 ppm, and Se 0.3 ppnl (R3). Fifth treatment was colnbination feed of R3 and chitosan (R4). Sixth treatlnent was combination of R3 treatment and Brown weed extract (R5). Wool cutting and collected was done twice, once before treatment's given and second pasca treatment. Taken wool was analyzed of length; weight, density, dianleter and Lead concentration in wool. The design was using groups randoinized design. Then using one way anova (analysis of variance): f~~rther difference was analyzed using lu.uslcal wallis. The results showed that given of lead and supple~iient did not affect to wool quality.
