Karakteristik ayam fayoumi, merawang dan persilangannya umur 9-16 minggu (studi kasus di BPTU sapi dwiguna dan ayam sumbawa, Sumatera Selatan)

Abstract

Indonesian local chicken development through breeding progame is one effort that already done by BPTU (Breeding Center Board) Sembawa Local chicken development by crossed breeding between local and imported chicken which have high productivities. The result of cross-breeding programe were Sriwijaya Prima 1 (SP-1: Fayoumi x Meralvang) and Prima Sriwijaya 1 (PS-1: Merawang s Fayoumi) which F1 (hybrid) Fayoumi and Merawang chicken. Crossbred chicken were expected have better productivities (both meat and egg). To evaluated succed the crossbreeding, we need to examined performance of this crossbred chicken production. The reseach colected two types of data, secondary data 9-16 weeks growth had be observed at BPTU Sembawa and primary data from qualitative phenotypes.
