Komposisi kimia daging dan kulit paha itik lokal jantan yang diberi pakan mengandung tepung daun beluntas (Plucea indica. L) pada taraf berbeda
Abstract
Duck meat has undesire odor. One of the effort that is used to reduce it, is by adding beluntas leaf meal in feed diet. However, the chemical composition of meat and skin need to be learned. Therefore, The purpose of this research is to figure the effect of adding beluntas leaf meal in feed diet to meat and skin chemical composition of domestic male ducks. This reaserch was conducted in Faculty of Animal Science, Bogor Agricultrural University from Juli until November 2005. Fourty five Day Old Ducks (DOD) were raised and given additional beluntas leaf meal to their feed in their 5-10 weeks of age, before being killed. Completely randomize designs was used with three beluntas leaf meal concentration adding treatment (0%; 1% and 2 %). Each treatment consist of three replication and each of it contains five ducks. The result shows that chemical composition of meat and skin thigh is not effected from this adding treatment.
