Analisis Pla Penggunaan Ruang Banteng (Bos javanicus d'Alton 1823) di Cagar Alam dan Taman Wisata Alam Pangandaran Jawa Barat

Abstract

Banteng is the one of animal which is being extinction (endangered) In Java, banteng distribution limited in several conservation area including Pangandaran Nature Reserve and Pangandaran Nature Recreation Park. The population in this site is fluctuate, in 2007 there's only one adult female banteng, Harm condition brought BKSDA Jawa Barat II as the role play key to make a plan for reintroduction the male banteng into the area, in order to increase the population. Because of that, it is need to conduct a research ecological of the banteng, one of them is space utilization pattern which is give about banteng's existence and activities in several types of vegetation. The data is collected including 1) the type of activity, 2) position and time of activity and 3) habitat characteristic. Behacioral obseravtion is done directly, following the movement of banteng , within seven times replilation. Vegetation analysis is done with transec method.
