Pengamatan fenotip dan pendugaan genotip warna, pola warna dan tipe bulu pada Hamster Syria (Mesocricetus auratus)

Abstract

The aim of this experiment were to observe and estimate the genotype of colour, coat pattern and coat typeof Syrian hamster (Mesocricetus auratus). This experiment has conducted from September until November 2006 at Laboratorium Lapang dan Pemuliaan Genetika (LPG) and Laboratorium Ternak Daging dan Kerja (LTDK), Faculty of Animal Science, Bogor Agricultural University. Sixty three hamster were used in this experiment consisting of 40 males and 23 females. The phenotype of coat colour, coat pattern and coat type of each hamster were listed on identification able that will be used to determine its genotype based on National Hamster Council Standard (2005).
