A tool that can be used to describe the condition of population is an informative and interactive web-based map (webgis). This research developed a population geographic information system using GeoServer. This system is a joint project between the Depok’s Government with BPPT (Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi) in an effort to increase the quality of population monitoring. This system was named SIGDUPOK which stands for Depok’s Population Geographic Information System With GeoServer. The goal of this research is to build a geographic information system to provide information on Depok’s population in an interactive map. This system produces a web-based geographic information system that can display a digital map, information tables, and charts. This geographic information system presents information by using map as an interface, and displays Depok’s population distribution with parameters such as total population, educational level, religion, occupation, and age group. Research method on this system refers to GIS Development Guide developed by the Department of Geography University at Buffalo. This system was developed using Linux operating system, GeoServer as a mapping application, MySQL as a database management, and visualization applications charts using FusionCharts. This system is expected to be used by Depok Government for decision-making improvement of human resources and regional development.
