Karakteristik Ukuran Dan Bentuk Tubuh Domba Ekor Tipis Melalui Analisis Regresi Komponen Utama Di Up3j, Peternakan Tawakal Dan Mitra Tani
Abstract
Sheep as a small ruminant is very popular among the farmers in Indonesia, because it is easy to take care of, can breed well and easily adaptable. The relationship between body weight and body measurements are neccessary needed to be studied. These body measurements can be used as a predictor of a live weight. Thirteen body measurements were taken on 198 Local sheep under the age of one year. As a result T2-Hotelling method indicated that the difference body measurements and gender group in each farm sheep (P <0.01). Principal Component Analysis (PCA) showed that a high shoulder size and shape that has the highest eigen vector (0.56 and 0.67) in the group of sheep UP3J. The chest circumference has the highest eigen vectors respectively (0.61 and 0.56) as a size in MT Farm and Tawakal Farm. The body lenght has the highest eigen vectors respectively (0.80 and 0.62) a shape in that farm. Based on observations of linear body size can also determine score and the score of the size of each individual were observed by principal component analysis approach that can distinguish the size and shape of the various groups of local sheep. Determination of linear body measurement variables that provide a beneficial effect on body weight can be obtained based on elasticity values derived. Principal component regression analysis results showed that body measurements in each groups of male and female sheep is the chest circumference.
