Sistem informasi geografis persebaran titik panas Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah menggunakan PHPMapscript
Abstract
Forest fires is one of the serious problem that occurred in Indonesia. It can cause loss of both material and non-material such as death, property damage and even destruction of ecosystems. One of the prevention efforts to stop the forest fires spread is by building a system which can monitor and display hotspot. In 2010, Indri developed Geographic Information System of Hotspot Distribution in Province of Central Kalimantan. However, the system that had been built was not able to search down to sub-district level. Therefore, the goal of this research is to add a searching function until to subdistrict and presenting data in a graphical form. This Geographic Information Systems of Hotspot Distribution in the Province of Central Kalimantan is developed by using the GIS Development Guide published by the Department of Geography at Buffalo, on Microsoft Windows platform using PHPMapscript, PostgreSQL 8.2, PostGIS 1.4.0, and MS4W 2.3.1. This information system is built as a system to provide information about spreading of hotspot and show the total of hostpot in each subdistrict using the graphical form. The included informations are regional boundaries, contour line, roads, rivers, lakes, coastline, airport, and cities.
