Hubungan Retensio Sekundinae Danendometritisdenganefisiensi Reproduksi Pada Sapi Perah: Studi Kasus diKoperasi Peternak Sapi Bandung Utara (KPSBU) Lembang, Jawa Barat
Abstract
This study aims to explore the relationship between retained placenta and endometritis with reproduction efficiency i.e. conception rate (CR) and service per conception (S/C) in dairy cows. The study was conducted at Koperasi Peternak Sapi Bandung Utara (KPSBU) Lembang, and Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Dramaga Bogor Station, West Java. Data of retained placenta, endometritis cases, and reproduction efficiency during 2007-2009 were collected from KPSBU Lembang, and data of rainfall during 2007-2009 were compiled from BMKG Dramaga Bogor Station, West Java. Descriptive and correlation analysis were applied in data processing. Correlation coefficient (r) and determination coefficient (r2%) were tested using Minitab version 14 to respectively show degree of relationship and influence between variables. The result shows that retained placenta has correlation with endometritis (r=0.013), CR (r = 0.279), S/C (r=-0.119), and rainfall (r=0.235). Endometritis is correlated with CR (r=0.264), S/C (r=-0.159), and rainfall (r=-0.198). The rainfall has correlation with reproduction efficiency (CR) (r=0.103) and (S/C) (r=-0.222). Retained placenta explains 0.017% of endometritis, 7.78% of CR, 1.42% of S/C, and 5.52% of rainfall. Endometritis illustrates 6.97% of CR, 2.53% of S/C, and 3.92 of rainfall. Rainfall clarifies reproduction efficiency 1.06% of CR and 4.93% of S/C. Thus, retained placenta, endometritis, and rainfall are factors influencing CR and S/C.
