Abstract
This internship in general activities aimed at improving professional skills in students understand and work processes significantly, enhance technical capabilities, managerial, and analytical activities in the field (for a commodity with a commodity plus cassava and oil palm). In particular, this internship activities aim to: (1) study the management of raw materials and processing of cassava in PT Pematang Agri Lestari (PT PAL) and PT Sinar Pematang Mulia I (PT SPM I), Lampung, (2) study the implementation of cassava cultivation techniques in company and the farmers, and (3) analyze the cassava farming. The location of the implementation of an internship that is in PT PAL (plantation) and tapioca factory of PT SPM I, Sub Way Serdang, Mesuji District, Lampung Province.Implementation of internships conducted from February 15th until June 18th 2010. During an internship at PT PAL, the authors placed as a companion foreman, assistant superintendent partnerships, and cohead of the division I (cassava and palm). At the time of internship in PT SPM I, the author placed on the quality control (QC). Primary data collected during the internship activities are all matters relating to: (1) management of raw materials (2) the cultivation techniques; (3) analysis of farming, and the (4) processing at the plant. The primary data collected through observation, interviews, and discussions. Sample cultivation techniques and analysis of data collected from 20 people farming farmer partners. Secondary data collected from data held by the companies and literature studies. The data examined were: (1) geographical location and administrative (2) climatic and soil conditions, (3) organizational structure, and (4) employment.
