Pengelolaan tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.) di PT Gula Putih Mataram, Lampung Tengah dengan aspek khusus aplikasi blotong pada tanaman tebu lahan kering
Abstract
Internship activities was be held in PT Gula Putih Mataram, Lampung Central 15 March until 15 July 2010. The purpose of this internship is to learn the techniques of sugarcane cultivation in dry land. The method is the direct and indirect methods. to specific aspects of application management filtercake observed. Observations made among others, the shape and nature of filtercake, filtercake per hectare needs, priorities of land given filtercake, the process of transporting filtercake from the factory, how the spread of filtercake in the fields, and observing the effect on sugarcane crop. Filtercake is the result of solid waste in processing sugarcane juice purification. Filtercake shaped like land and having the main content of C (35.52 %), N (0.82 %), P (0.97 %), K (0.26 %), Ca (1.83 %), Mg (0.23 %), dan S (0.09 %) . Filtercake needs for one hectare of land is 40 tons. However, based on field observations the average amount filtercake are given per hectare of land that is 54.60 tons. Priority determination of land based on mileage dumptruck from the factory (< 10 km). Filtercake applied directly to the land by way of land sown before processing. Transportation of filtercake is using dumptruck with a capacity of 8-10 tons. Spread of filtercake by using human power with a capacity of 24-30 kg/person. Observations indicate that the application of filtercake did not effect significantly on the growth of sugarcane crop. Filtercake application is intended to overcome the sugar mill waste, so that less attention filtercake application techniques.
