      Abstract
      Pembakaran batubara akan menghasilkan limbah padat berupa abu terbang. Jumlah abu terbang yang dihasilkan telah menimbulkan masalah yang cukup serius hampir di semua negara yang menggunakan bahan bakar batubara untuk pembangkit tenaga listrik. Namun di lain pihak abu terbang mengandung unsur hara yang berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan dalam bidang pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat-sifat kimia abu terbang dan unsurunsur yang dilepaskan oleh abu terbang pada saat terjadinya proses pencucian dari abu terbang segar dan abu terbang yang telah berada di landfiil selama 6 bulan dan 5 tahun. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada analisis pH, EC (daya hantar listrik), unsur hara makro (K, Na, Mg, Ca), unsur hara mikro (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu), dan logam-logam (Cr, Ni). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa abu terbang yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat basa (pH abu terbang segar 11,1, pH abu terbang berumur 6 bulan 9,4, dan pH abu terbang berumur 5 tahun 8,4). Nilai DHL abu terbang segar 3,12dSm-1 lebih tinggi dibanding abu terbang di landfiil (0,76 dSm-1 dan 0,39 dSm-1). Kandungan unsur-unsur dalam abu terbang segar juga lebih tinggi dibanding abu terbang berumur 6 bulan dan 5 tahun. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa semakin lama abu terbang berada di landfiil, kandungan unsur-unsur dalam abu terbang, semakin menurun. Pada percobaan dengan metode perkolasi, pH perkolat berkisar antara 7,3 hingga 7,8. pH perkolat yang berasal dari abu terbang segar lebih tinggi dibanding abu terbang di landfiil. DHL perkolat berkisar antara 0,20 dSm-1 hingga 0,35 dSm-1. Pada percobaan dengan metode perkolasi, perkolat mengandung unsur-unsur makro (K, Na, Ca, dan Mg) dalam jumlah bervariasi, sedangkan unsur mikro (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) dan logam (Cr, Ni) tidak terukur. Kandungan unsur-unsur dalam perkolat pada bulan pertama lebih tinggi dibanding bulan ketiga.
       
      Coal combustion produce solid waste known as fly ash. A number of fly ash cause serious problem almost in every coal power plant. However fly ash consist of potential nutrient that could be used in agriculture. This research studied the chemical characteristics of fly ash and the nutrients released under leaching during 3 months. Three kind of fly ash are used fresh, 6 months deposited fly ash out-door, and 5 years out-door deported fly ash. The analyses conducted were pH, EC (Electrical Conductivity), macro elements (K, Na, Ca, Mg), micro elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu), and metals (Cr, Ni). The result showed that the three fly ash samples in this research were alkali. The pH value of fresh fly ash is 11,1. The six months fly ash was 9,4 in pH value and five years fly ash was 8.4 in pH value. Electrical conductivity of fresh fly ash was 3,12 dSm-1. It was higher than electrical conductivity of landfiil’s fly ash. Electrical conductivity of six months fly ash and five years fly ash were0,76dSm-1 and 0,39 dSm-1. According to this research, fresh fly ash also contained more elements than landfiil’s fly ash. This research also used percolation method. Result of percolation method show that pH value of percolate were between 7,3 to 7,8. Percolate pH value of fresh fly ash was higher than percolate pH value landfiil’s fly ash. Percolate electrical conductivity were between 0,20 dSm-1 to 0,35 dSm-1. Percolation method also showed that percolate contained variety number of macro elements (K, Na, Ca, Mg). This percolate also has small number of micro elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) and metals (Cr, Ni). Percolate elements in the first month was higher than it were in the third month.
