Keanekaragaman Plankton di Sungai Cikaniki
Abstract
Recently, Cikaniki river, Cisadane sub watershed, Bogor was used by citizens for domestic activities and irrigations. This research was conducted to find the diversity of plankton in relation with gold mining activity in the Cikaniki river. The abundance and diversity of plankton were analyzed by Shannon Wiever Diversity Index (H’). Sample were collected at 5 stations with 3 repetitions on March and June 2005. The diversity of the plankton were influenced by the wheather. Rain level on March was found 9.49 mm/day with variance of plankton diversity depend on sample collection station. At 4th and 5th station where agriculture and domestic waste were flown, the Shannon index (H) remain at the middle level which were 1.93 and 2.83. Cladophora was observed to be the dominant plankton on March at station 1, 3, 4, and 5, however the most abundance plankton at station 2 was Navicula. The highest plankton diversity level were found on June with rain level 19.63 mm/day. The (H’) index were observed 3.40-3.75, it was indicated that the (H’) value remain of one kind. Whereas, there was no dominant plankt on were found at each station.
