dc.description.abstractEnvironmental Education (EE) had been developed as an effort to overcome environmental degradation by preparing high quality human resources with ability to manage the environment wisely. A model of Forest and Environmental Education (FEE Model), as a part of EE developed by Faculty of Forestry Bogor Agricultural University, had been developed since 1995. The model had been socialized and pilot-tested at various sample schools in several areas. The research was aimed at (1) implementing the FEE Model for schools located around forest areas, and (2) developing a model of partnership network between forest area management and the surrounding schools. Data was collected through literature review, guided interview, field observation, questionnaire dissemination, FGD and workshop. The result showed that knowledge, understanding, perception and motivation of the principals, teachers, students, and support from parents affecting the implementation of EE/FEE and ultimately affecting students' responses; Model of Partnership Network in EE/FEE Implementation being developed is a conceptual form showing partnership or mutually beneficial cooperative relation between two or more stakeholders (schools, governmental agencies, private agencies and community) in attaining the objectives of EE/FEE; stakeholders basically can play active or inactive role in EE/FEE implementation at schools surrounding forest area; School as the center of partnership network, with principals' and teachers' leadership capacity as determinant key, should have the initiative to build the partnership; higher education institution and NGO play the role in assisting and supporting the development of partnership network.en
