Correlation of Marine Environmental Factors to Reef Condition and Reef Fishes Diversity in Pamegaran and Kuburan Cina Islands at Thousand Islands, Jakarta

Abstract

Marine environment are most important to support marine productivity. The problem was limited to find out coverange of coral reef, dominant reef genera in close marine area (leeward) and open marine area (windward). Line Intercept Transec was used to study Live Coral Cover. To see the composition species of reef fishes was study by Visual Census. Temperature, salinity and current factors were analysed using insitu near reef, nutrient (phosphate and nitrate) and plankton (phyto and zoo) factors were analysed in the laboratorium.
