Analysis of effect sedimentation to hard coral community (Scleractinia) in Tanjung PEmancingan Waters, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan

Abstract

Sedimentation is one of some limiting factors for coral distribution. Tanjung Pemancingan waters Kotabaru influences by sedimentation coming from river, runoff and activity of coal port mining. The aims of this research are to (1) study hard coral coverage, montatily, abuncance and genera colony, (2) study sedimentation rate and characteristic of environment econditions, (3) analyze correlation of the hard coral community follow with of sedimentation rate, (4) analyze distribution between hard coral community follow with of sedimentation rate and enviromental conditions different.
