Inovasi teknologi penangkapan ikan karang dengan bubu dasar berumpon

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkah laku ikan dan pengaruh rumpon terhadap zona pengaruh (zone of influence) alat tangkap bubu, dan mengkaji pengaruh rumpon terhadap ikan hasil tangkapan bubu baik jenis, jumlah, maupun ukuran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Hansisi, Semau, Kupang.

The research was aimed to study fish behavior and the influence of FAD on zone of influence of traps, and studying the influence of FAD on the fish caught using traps in terms of the species, number and size. This study was conducted in Hansisi waters, Semau, Kupang. The research observed periphton shelter to FAD attractor made from lontar leaves (Borrasus flabellifer) and gewang leaves (Corypha gebanga). The observation on the community of reef fish and their behavior around zone of influence of traps with FAD and without FAD using visual census method.
