Kajian tanggap fisiologis perkembangan buah muda dan layu pentil terhadap pemberian unsure seng (Zn) dan Boron (B) serta pengaruhnya terhadap hasil kakao (Theobroma cacao L.)
The study on physiological responses of cocoa young fruit development and cherelle wilt to zinc and boron applications and its effect on cocoa yield (Theobroma cacao L.)
Abstract
Cherelle wilt is a physiological disorder that occurs during cocoa pod development and its intensity can reach 70 - 98 percent. Nutrient competition between cherelle with other actively growing organs is suspected as the prima facie cause of the condition. Experiment was aimed at: (I) investigating the effect of zinc and boron on fruit setting and their growth, healthy and wilted cherelles, and carbohydrates and IAA content on cocoa's seed, and (2) investigating the appropriate part of cocoa trees to apply the micronutrients. Pre experiment was conducted from March to September 1997. Main experiment was conducted during rainy season from December 1997 to July 1998 and dry season from May 1998 to February 1999 in Rajamandala Part of Panglejar Plantation, PTPN VIII, Bandung.
