Uji Daya Hasil Jagung Hibrida Sialng Tunggal Dan Introduksi Bersari Beras
Abstract
Five experimental IPB corn hybrids and four open pollinated introductions from CIMMYT Mexico were tested for potential yield performance using the best national variety H6 as standard on a latosol at the IPB experimental station, Darmaga IV, Bogor. The soil was fertilized with 200 kg N, 200 kg P205, 100 kg K20 and 2 ton of chiken manure per hectare. All varieties tested matured 3 -8 days earlier and yielded 7-21% higher than H6 (4 175 kg/ha). Among hybrids, 19 x 16 gave the highest yield (4 806 kg/ha) and among the introductions Sete Lagoas 7726 (5 038 kg/ha). Tall stature in hybrids and high susceptibility to downy mildew among the introduction were the undesirable characteristics.
