Six Friesian Holstein Grade (FHG) beifers at 15 month of age, were randomly devided into two groups (I and II). The first was fed NaCH treated rice straw and me second was fresh grass. concentrate was given at the same amount to all animals. Rice straw grass and rater more given ad libitum.
