Ametryne selectivity toward several cane varieties.
Abstract
Susceptibility of Indonesian sugar-cane varieties to ametryne varies from symptoms of phytotoxicity on the foliage followed by a decrease in number of cane stalks and sugar yield to no symptoms at all or yield depressions. The susceptibility is traced back to the ancestors of the varieties. Absorption of ametryne by leaves, translocation and concentration within the plant, and aspects of degradation metabolism are discussed.
