      Abstract
      SINTA RAHMI PUTRI. Gender Relations in Vegetables Farmer Households Lowlands (Case of farmer households of Rawa Banteng, Gempol Sari Village, District of East Sepatan, Tangerang District, Banten Province) under guidance of AIDA VITAYALA S. HUBEIS) Gender inequalities often occur tend to make women as subjects who are always harmed, particularly for rural women. More detailed study aims to look at and identify the factors associated with gender relations, and analyzing gender relations in peasant households in particular horticultural commodity vegetables. These factors are: farmers characteristic, farmers' accessibility to information, and environmental factors. While gender relations are analyzed by looking at the access, control, division of works and decision-making within households. The method used is a quantitative approach that is supported by qualitative analysis to provide a broad picture of gender relations within households. Quantitative data obtained are processed by using Microsoft excel 2007, to tabulate the frequency, and SPSS 15.0 was used to measure the correlation between variables using Spearman rank analysis. While qualitative data are presented descriptively. This research produced some gender inequalities in a flow amount of time charged to the women of 19.9 hours per day. In addition, women's limited access is clearly seen, where women are only given a chance in harvest period in whole the production process, in addition to their obligations in domestic activities.
