Abstract
RETTHA APRILIAN. Food derived from an Animal Consumption Patterns and Nutritional Status of Senior High School Adolescents in a Different Social Economy Status in Bogor. Supervised by HADI RIYADI and YAYAT HERYATNO. Adolescence is an important phase of human growing and maturing. Protein is one of nutrient substance which has special function in growing process that can’t be replace by the other nutrient substance. The special functions of protein are to build up, keep up, and replace the body cells and tissues. Food derived from an animal is a good protein source in quantity and quality. Food intake, especially protein intake is influenced by social economy factors, including income, education, and occupation. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between food derived from an animal consumption and nutritional status of senior high school adolescents in a different social economy status. A cross sectional study design was applied in this research. The research was implemented at two senior high school which have a different social economy characteristic. SMAN 2 Bogor was selected to represent adolesents at urban areas who have higher social economy status and SMAN 1 Ciampea for lower social economy status which located at rural areas. Sample was chosen by stratified random sampling which consists of 120 adolescents. Descriptive analytic was carried out to all variables followed by bivariate test using Spearman correlation and Pearson correlation. Independent-sample T test was used to compare means between two data sample. The conclusion of this research showed the difference pattern of food derived from an animal consumption between senior high school adolescents at urban areas (SMAN 2 Bogor) and senior high school adolescents at rural areas (SMAN 1 Ciampea). Protein of food derived from an animal consumption of adolesents in SMAN 2 Bogor was higher than adolesents in SMAN 1 Ciampea.
