Pengaruh Pemberian Booklet tentang Tatalaksana Beternak Sapi Perah pada Kegiatan Penyuluhan terhadap Peningkatan Pengetahuan Peternak

Abstract

Some breeders didn’t have the knowledge and sufficient insight to understand their problems, think of the solution or to choose best solutions to achieve their goals. There was the possibility of their knowledge based on erroneous information because of lack of experience, education or other cultural factors. Therefore, it needed the counceling that was intended to eliminate barriers by providing information and provide insight into the problems faced. This study aimed to determine respondents' level of knowledge prior to the beginning of counseling and to see the effects of counseling intacked with the giving of booklet for increasing knowledge within the respondent. The design of this study was the control group of non-equivalence involved two groups, one experimental group and a control group. Experimental group was the group that had been influenced by variables (booklet). Whereas the control group was a group that was not affected by that variable. The results of this study: (1) respondents' level of knowledge prior to the beginning of counseling was homogeneous, (2) counseling by giving booklet didn’t give significant influence on improving knowledge of respondents about dairy breeding knowledge. Whereas counseling without booklet, it provides guidance which meant that the influence of increasing knowledge of respondents about dairy breeding knowledge. Based on research results obtained, then recommended that the implementation of face-to-face counseling activities should consider supporting the use of communication media, in this booklet. However, if will use communication media support (booklet) should be given after counseling. Keywords: booklet, experimental, knowledge of respondents
