Abstract

ARY RACHMAWATI. Coping Strategies and the Factors that Influence Subjective Well-being of the Recipient Families “Program Keluarga Harapan” (PKH). Under the direction of HERIEN PUSPITAWATI and RETNANINGSIH. PKH is one of poverty alleviation programs of government issued in 2007. This study aims to identify coping strategy and the factors that influence subjective well-being of the recipient families PKH. This study conducted in Bogor district Dramaga sub-district in May to July 2009. Design used was cross-sectional study with survey methods. Samples in this research are the recipient mother and the sample size is 150 samples. Based on research results can be seen that the coping strategy economic functions performed low percentage on samples. In addition, the factors that influence subjective well-being of the recipient's family PKH is long education wife, great family members, social support, total family expenditures and economic functions coping strategy. In general, this study shows that the program can not be said succeeded because the welfare level of the sample is still low even this program unwittingly creating dependency on recipient families PKH so that these families can not live independently and have a low social security level.
