Pengaruh Pemberian Temu Putih Siap Saji (Curcuma zedoariae (Berg) Rescoe) Terhadap Gambaran Klinis Pra/Pasca Operasi Tumor Mammaria pada Kelinci

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak rimpang temu putih (Curcuma zoedaria) siap saji terhadap gambaran klinis pra dan pasca operasi pada kelinci yang diinduksi tumor. Penelitian dilakukan pada 15 ekor kelinci. Terdapat 5 kelompok (1 kelompok normal dan 4 kelompok yang diinduksi MNU), masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 3 ekor kelinci dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap minggu dengan parameter temperatur, frekuensi pernapasan dan frekuensi jantung selama 9 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian MNU menyebabkan reaksi radang yang memungkinkan dilepaskannya prostaglandin yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan temperatur, frekuensi pernapasan serta frekuensi jantung. Pemberian temu putih yang bersifat antiinflamasi sebagai terapi dapat menghambat pengeluaran prostaglandin sehingga dapat mempertahankan temperatur, frekuensi pernapasan serta frekuensi jantung dalam skala normal.

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of Curcuma zoedaria extract on pre and post operation clinical signs in rabbit which was induced by neoplasm. The research was done at fifteen rabbits. There were five groups (the first group was normal and the other fours group were induced by Metil-N-Nitrosourea, each group contained three rabbits with different action. There were four group and each group was given differrent treatment. The rabbit was examinated weekly for some parameters such as temperature, respiratory rate and heart rate for nine weeks period. The results showed that administration of MNU induced inflamation reaction and further work produce prostaglandin which will increase the temperature, respiratory rate and heart rate. Administration of Curcuma zoedariae extract which is anti inflamation as a therapy could inhibited the production of prostaglandine so that could keep the temperature, respiratory rate and heart rate within normal.
