The Optimalization of Local cricket (Gryllus bimaculatuc de geex) Care Management at Production Time
Abstract
The cricket culture in our country is highly supported by climate, weather, the existence of land, and kind of cricket around us. This culture has been doing to evade from scarcity and destroyed. On that purpose, we need the cricket culture continuously to avoid those things from happening. The research was done in the Laboratory of Cattle NRSH (Non Ruminansia dan Satwa Harapan), Department of Cattle Production Science, Cattle Ranching Faculty, Bogor Institute of Agriculture. The research was done since April until May 2000. The aim of this research is to learn how the influence of density per a wide and vegetable food (Brassica juncea and Carica papaya) to eggs production for local cricket species i.e. Gryllus bimaculatus de geex at the production time. The variable evaluated in this research are; production, average of egg production per head, feed consumption (concentrate and vegetables) as the supported data. The data were analyzed by ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). If the result shows the influence of each treatment before, then the analysis is continued with the advance test, LSD.
