Pengaruh Naungan dan Pemupukan Nitrogen terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Coklat (Theobroma cacao L.) di Pembibitan
Abstract
Effect pf shade and nitrogen fertilizing on growth ot cocoa seedling (Theobrama cacao L.) on nursery. The experiment using a split-plot design was conducted at Darmaga (Leuwikop0) Experimental Station, Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, to investigate the effect of level of shade, level of N fertilizer, and their interaction on growth of cocoa seedling. The experiment was conducted from the end of January to the beginning of June 1983; two levels of shade (as a main plot) and four levels of N fertilizer (as a sub plot) in three replicates. The height of plant, the number of leaves, the circle of trunk, and leave area were very significant affected by shade. The dry weight of plant was significant affected (p = 0.025). Fertilizing was significant affect on the number of leaves (p = 0.05), the circle of trunk (p = 0.10), the dry weight of plant (p = 0.025), but not significant affect on the height of plant, and leave area. The interaction between shade and fertilizing were significant affect on the circle of trunk (p = 0.05), the dry weight of plant (p = 0.01), but not significant affect on the height of plant, the number of leaves, and leave area. To consider the possibilities of dry risk, the 75 % of shade and dose of pack of 7 g of Urea per plant were the best.
