Pattern Analysis of Land Uses, Transportation Systern and Activities (Case Study : Pattern of Mobility toward, within and outward IPB's Darmaga Campus).
Abstract
The construction of IPB Darmaga Campus is an effort to develop the infrastructure in order to increase the quantity and quality of IPB's human resources and making IPB to be an agriculture information center in Indonesia. The increase of pedestrians and vehicles flows toward, within and outward campus will impact on the balance between road and transportation capacities and the needs. This condition influences the surrounding transportation system. The existing activities have an impact on the transportation system around IPB Darmaga Campus. Those activities will influence the increasing of the road capacity in and around Darmaga Campus. This research has purpose to understand the movement of people, and vehicles to go inside, toward and outward IPB Darmaga Campus as the basic matter to improve the transportation system around IPB Darmaga Campus and to study the factors that influenced the activity duration of civitas IPB at IPB Darmaga Campus. The Descriptive Transportastion Analysis is used to study the current pattern of going toward, within and outward the campus and study the movement pattern around the campus. Based on the result of land use pattern analysis showed that the largest area is used for sport area. Academic area derives the highest movement activities. Faculty of Agriculture has the largest land use space, floor space and the highest amount capacity for activities.
