In Indonesia information about deep sea fish resource is very limited. The objectives of this research were to identify deep sea spesies and its biodiversity at 200 m and 400 m depth. The research location was in Palabuhanratu Bay at 200 m and 400 m depth with positions of 77o6'40" LS 106 degrees 29’00’’ BT to 7 degrees 5’56’’ LS 106 degrees 26’31’’ BT. and 7 degrees LS- 7 ,02 degrees LS and 106,25 degrees BT- 106,28 degrees BB. Six Experimental fishing operations were conducted using 10 pots, fish finder, bait (shark and ray meat), and a commercial charactered fishing boat. the result showed that species at 200 m and 400 m depth could be identified, i.e. 6 species from family of grapsidae, Homolidae, Ophididae, Majidae, and Congridae.
