Infrastructure is a requisite for a regional economic growth through economic and non - economic activi ties. In particular, a transportation infrastructure in a region, among others, provides a valuable contribution towards the economic of such regional as well as of its neighborhood. This research aims to analyze the impact of the transport ation infrast ructure ( highway, toll, and rail track) on the regional economic growth as well as on its neighborhood. Moreover, this research also intends to compare the impact of several transporta tion infrastructure suc h as highway, toll, railway , and their combinatio n on economic regional. The observed regional in this research are Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi often called JABODETABEK area . The construction of transportation in regional is a backbone for formation of a networking in JABODETABEK region. The time series data of four economic sectors of the region in the period 1990 – 2006, is estimate on the Two Stages Least Square (2SLS) research model, then followed by a simulation using SIM N LIN procedure. The research model is developed using t ransmission mechanism framework that shows a sequent of transportation infrastructure investment. Firstly, such investment will affect the number of economic units, then followed by its impact on the production volume of four observed sectors, and finally on the regional economic growth and its neighborhood’s.
