Play Behavior Long-tailed Monkey (Macaea Fascicularis) 1-2 years old (Case Study in Tinjil Island).
Abstract
Playing is the basic behavior of juveniles which was usually displayed during all day long. This activity was done in order to learn how to grow phisycally to ward maturity phase so that they could adapt in their group. This research was conducted from March to April 2002. Located in Pusat Studi Satwa Primata-Institut Pertanian Bogar (PSSP•IPB) on Tinjil Island. The number of monkey used in this study ware 24 juveniles without consedering sexes. Methods used in observing daily behavior was one-zero and scan samping and ad-libitum sampling for playing behavior. The aims of this study was to access the most preferred of long-tailed monkeys in their nature.
