Abstract
The large area of peat soil in Indonesia has potensial for agricultural sector development. Humic substances from the peat is very useful because the compound has significant role in affecting soil properties. This role was controlled by humic fraction such as humic acid which has the ability to improve soil fertility and quality due to high Cation Exchange Capacity and its capability to fix certain heavy mctal that toxic for human and plant.
