The Community Participation in Mangrove Forest Management (Case Study in Muara Kintap Village Kintap District and Pagatan Besar Village Takisung District Tanah Laut Regency)
Abstract
The objectives of this research are: (a) to know the level of community participation regarding mangrove forest management, (b) to explore the factors that affect the level of community participation (c) to make alternative strategy of mangrove forest management. The field research was conducted from February 2002 -April 2002 on to research sites namely Muara Kintap and Pagatan Besar Village of The Tanah Laut District, South Kalimantan Province. Qualitative and quantitative methods were integrated in this research. In each village 50 peoples were deducted as respondents. Descriptive analysis, cross tabulation and discriminant factors also SWOT Analysis are employed in data analysis.
