Studi Keragaman Morfologi Populasi Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) Di Trenggalek, Purworejo, Purwakarta Dan Leuwiliang

Abstract

The mailgosteen (Garciniu mangostana L) is originated from South East Asia and possibly in the Indonesian region. Mangosteen was reported propagated through vegetative seeds, since the embryo is developed from somatic cell of embryo sac, which called as apomixis. In mangosteen, apomixis phenomenon assumed due to of incomplete development of male organ. Regarding to the reproduction mode, mangosteen population in Indonesia presumably genetically homogen.
