Food Analysis at Interior Cavity of Lizard (Eutropis multifasciata) in Bogor West Java.
Abstract
Interior cavity is a hollow muscle organ that consist of three parts, there are kardiak, fundus and pilorus. Content of interior cavity gives information about food composition and strategy to looking for the food. The aim of this study is to identify food exist in interior cavity of lizard (Eutropis multifasciata) at Bogor West Java. This aim is carried out to begin on February until June 2009. Lizard catching was done by using net and stick. The lizard that was caught is about 30 head. Lizard that caught at Darmaga has content interior cavity that consist of insect (29.41%), mollusc (5.88%), malacostraca (2.94%), worm (5.88%), and plant material (29.41%), while lizard that caught at Cibatok has content interior cavity that consist of insect (87.5%) and mollusc (12.5%). Lizard caught at Darmaga and Cibatok be opportunist predator. Food kind at most eaten lizard at Darmaga arachnida, while food kind at most eaten lizard at Cibatok order orthoptera.
