Optimalisasi Biaya Pengiriman Tanaman Hias menggunakan Model Transportasi pada PT Noah Han Semesta

Abstract

PT Noah Han Semesta merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor bisnis tanaman hias dan melakukan pengiriman produk ke beberapa retail yaitu IKEA yang tersebar di Jabodetabek. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh perusahaan adalah pengelolaan dalam melakukan pengalokasian atau pengiriman tanaman hias di perusahaan yang belum optimal. Perusahaan tidak mempunyai rute efisien dalam melakukan pengiriman tanaman hias yang berdampak pada terjadinya pemborosan biaya pengiriman tanaman hias. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis rute pengiriman tanaman hias, menghitung perubahan biaya pengiriman tanaman hias, dan mengimplementasikan model transportasi terhadap biaya pengiriman tanaman hias dalam periode 1 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model transportasi dengan metode VAM (Vogel’s Approximation Method) menghasilkan rute pengiriman yang efisien dan menghemat biaya pengiriman sebesar Rp1.637.500 per bulan. Implikasi penerapan model transportasi dalam pengiriman 1 tahun, penghematan biaya mencapai Rp19.650.000 atau sebesar 11,01% dibandingkan biaya transportasi sebelumnya dan menjadi solusi optimal untuk diterapkan perusahaan.

PT Noah Han Semesta is a company that operates in the business sector of ornamental crops and carries out the delivery of products to some retail stores IKEA, that are scattered in Jabodetabek. The issue the company is the management of the allocation or delivery of ornamental crops, which is not yet optimal. The company does not have an efficient route for carrying out the delivery of ornamental corps, which could affect the occurrence of wastage of cost in the delivery of ornamental crops. The purpose of this research is to analyze the shipping routes of ornamental crops, calculate the changes in shipping cost, and implement the transportation model to the shipping costs of ornamental crops over a one-year period. The research results indicate that the use of a transportation model with the Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM) in a more efficient delivery route and saves Rp1,637,500 in shipping costs each month. If the company uses this model for a year, it can save up to Rp19,650,000, which is 11.01% less than before and This makes it the best solution for the company.
