      Abstract

Canga (Cananga odorata) is a plant spesies originating from the Southeast Asia region. Phosphorus is one of the key elements important for flowering, and the application of phosphorus fertilizer to lavender has been reported to enhance flowering. This study aims to compare the advantages of the Kediri and Cipanas accessions based on vegetative growth parameters, flower yield, and the main compound content in both accessions, as well as determine the effective phosphorus fertilizer dosage to enhance flower and essential oil production in Cananga. The research was conducted over five months at the Cikabayan Experimental Garden using a split plot design with two accessions (Kediri and Cipanas) and five levels of SP-36 fertilizer doses (0, 4,4 , 8,8, 13,3, and 17,7 g for each plant). The results showed that the Cipanas accession outperformed the Kediri accession in terms of vegetative growth parameters and flower yield. The main compound content in the essential oil of the Kediri accession is bicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-ene, 2,6-dimethyl-6-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-, and in the Cipanas accession, it is linalool. The optimal SP-36 fertilizer application to increase flower production is 4,4 for each plant, and to increase essential oil yield is 17,7 for each plant.
