      Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women is a nutritional issue that poses serious health risks to both mother and fetus. Enhancing nutritional knowledge is a crucial step in preventing this condition. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of booklet and e-booklet educational media in improving the nutritional knowledge of pregnant women with CED and to compare the efficacy of both media. A total of 100 pregnant women participated as respondents, with 50 individuals assigned to each the booklet and e-booklet groups. The Wilcoxon test results indicated a significant increase in knowledge in both groups (p < 0.001). Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney test revealed a significant difference in effectiveness between the two media (p < 0.05), with the e-booklet group experiencing a higher increase in knowledge. Thus, both booklet and e-booklet educational media are effective, but the e-booklet proves to be superior in enhancing the nutritional knowledge of pregnant women with CED.
