      Evaluasi Produksi Jagung Pulut dan Kacang Tanah dengan Pengaturan Baris Tanaman dalam Sistem Tumpangsari

      Abstract
      Sistem tumpangsari merupakan strategi pertanian berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan efisiensi lahan, khususnya pada lahan sempit. Salah satu tantangan dalam penerapannya adalah menentukan arah baris tanam dan jumlah tanaman sela yang tepat agar tidak menimbulkan persaingan antartanaman yang merugikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh arah baris tanam dan jumlah tanaman sela terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil dalam sistem tumpangsari jagung pulut dan kacang tanah. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dua faktor, yaitu jumlah baris tanaman sela (monokultur, satu baris, dan dua baris) dan arah baris tanaman (utara – selatan dan timur – barat). Peubah yang diamati meliputi analisis tanah, kondisi lahan, intensitas radiasi fotosintesis, parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil pada kedua komoditas, serta indeks panen dan indeks masak biji kulit (IMBK) untuk kacang tanah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa jumlah tanaman sela tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan jagung, namun kombinasi satu baris tanaman sela dengan arah timur – barat menghasilkan bobot tongkol tanpa klobot dan jumlah baris terisi biji tertinggi. Kombinasi kedua perlakuan juga tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap komponen hasil kacang tanah, namun berpengaruh terhadap nilai IMBK. Nilai Nisbah Kesetaraan Lahan (NKL) seluruh perlakuan > 1, dengan nilai tertinggi 1,9 pada perlakuan tumpangsari satu baris tanaman sela dengan arah baris tanaman jagung timur – barat. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem tumpangsari dengan pengaturan baris tanam yang sesuai dapat meningkatkan efisiensi lahan dan hasil panen dibandingkan sistem monokultur.
       
      Intercropping is a sustainable agricultural strategy to enhance yield and land-use efficiency, particularly on limited land. One of the challenges in its implementation is determining the optimal row orientation and number of intercrop rows to avoid interplant competition. This research aimed to evaluate the effect of row orientation and the number of intercrop rows on the growth and yield of waxy corn and groundnut in an intercropping system. The research was arranged in a complete randomized group design (RKLT) with two factors: the number of intercrop rows (monoculture, one row, and two rows) and row orientation (north – south and east – west). Observed variables included soil analysis, field conditions, photosynthetic radiation, growth and yield parameters for both crops, and additional indicators such as harvest index and seed maturity index (IMBK) for groundnut. The results showed that the number of intercrop rows had no significant effect on the growth of corn, but the combination of one intercrop row with east – west orientation resulted in the highest ear weight without husk and number of kernel rows. The interaction between treatments had no significant effect on most groundnut yield components but did significantly affect the IMBK value. All intercropping treatments had Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) values greater than 1, with the highest value (1.9) in the one-row intercrop treatment with the corn rows east – west orientation. These findings indicate that intercropping with proper row arrangement can improve land-use efficiency and productivity compared to monoculture systems.
