      Abstract

Vietnamese Coriander Plant (Persicaria odorata) is a culinary and medicinal herb with high pharmacological potential. However, the cultivation in Indonesia remains limited. Optimizing growth and yield can be achieved through organic fertilization, such as the application of chicken manure, which contains macronutrients essential for plant health. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of various chicken manure doses on the vegetative growth and repeated harvest yields of the Vietnamese Coriander plant. The experiment was conducted in Gunung Batu, Bogor, West Java, from September 2024 to January 2025, using a completely randomized design with five levels of chicken manure (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 tons ha?¹) and three replications. The results indicated that chicken manure significantly increased vegetative growth and yield parameters, with the highest result at the 20 tons ha?¹ treatment. However, the positive linear response across all observed variables suggests that the optimal dose has not been reached. Hence, further studies involving higher fertilizer doses and more than two harvests are recommended to determine the optimal organic fertilization strategy for the sustainable cultivation of the Vietnamese coriander plant.
